The most important letter I will ever write

I want to share the most important letter I will ever write…because what I’m about to share has the power to change your life

Psalm 139:17 “How precious are your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!” I don’t care what anyone with a Ph.D. in theology or divinity or from whatever university or seminary says, this verse can only be interpreted in one way.

God speaks to us in our thoughts!

We just need to learn to listen. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar and a deceiver.

But God is not the only one who speaks to us in our thoughts, the enemy does too. Many people say they hear the devil tempting them but they don’t hear God. It’s because they don’t listen.

“why don’t you just end it all and kill yourself?” is not a thought of human origin, it is a demonic thought that comes to us from the outside, not from our own minds. The answer to these kind of thoughts is to say out loud, “In the name of Jesus depart from me!” Repeat 3 times or as many times as you need to till those thoughts go away. “you’ve done it before”, “one more time won’t matter”, “everyone else does it”, “no one will know” are also thoughts from the enemy.

We are in a war, everyday! And our mind is the battle field.

1 Cor 10:3-5 “3For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ”

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.

Acts 1:8 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you …

Mark 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues

But we don’t have to fight this war alone. We have a helper and a comforter, the Holy Spirit and His gifts. But we have to ask in order to receive. Keep asking until you receive. And then keep asking for more.

good gifts to those who ask Him!

Matthew 7:7-11 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Because of your persistence!

Luke 11:5 And He said to them, “Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him’; 7 and he will answer from within and say, ‘Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you’? 8 I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.

the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!

Luke 11:9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for [e]bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

We can’t win battles on our own. If you suffer from thoughts of suicide, PTSD, anger, anxiety, depression, worry, guilt, shame, hostility or stress, you may be missing out on what Jesus promised we would receive, a Helper and a Comforter.

Many denominational churches fail in this teaching. We must ask for the Helper and Comforter. We must ask for the Holy Spirit, for His Baptism, for His Gifts, and for His power! Then we can defeat the enemy. And we must realize we will be under attack daily, our enemy never takes a day off.

Two things we must also do in order to be victorious, forgive others and forgive ourselves. Some people can’t forgive themselves, but if Jesus can forgive you, so can you.

If you found any part of this helpful, please share this post. And pray with me for the Holy Spirit to come and convict us (the U.S. nation) of both sin and righteousness.
